Spying v. Collaborating

Tello, a new venture with some strong names from the boom behind it, purports to be able to network your network - digital or analog.  They will tell you if people are on the phone, on IM, on the ball, etc.  They also, to some as yet unknown degree, facilitate collaboration.

I'm wondering, though, do I really need to know what my network is doing at all times?

I'm going to give this a shot and see what I think.  It doesn't seem to have the meat of what I'm looking for in an app that would extend my network, though.

I also join TechCrunch in wondering if a company that is based on creating better communication - yet has no blog - really "gets it".
