Sad to Lose James Kim

Like many, I watched the story of the Kim family's disappearance with horror. I was stunned when they found Kati and the girls alive. And am now very sad to hear they found James' body today.

The beginning of these 10 days of searching took place while I was still in Hong Kong. I watched helpless from so far off.

I only met James once in Palo Alto, but got a very good read from him. Placid, competent, capable. It breaks my heart to think of his family losing such a reliable and good dad.
