Robert Fripp on How to Be Successful

Thanks to Andrew Buhr up Canada way, this came to me.

Robert Fripp chatting about how to be successful. Fripp is, by his nature, a rather prescriptive chap.  But what I like about this is the notion of practice.

I very much respect my friend John von in Los Angeles, because he is a notorious practicing musician.  Sometimes he lets a given instrument lapse and makes up for it later.  But he takes the practice very seriously.

For 2009, this is central to my resolutions.  To be a better practicing writer, a better practicing musician, and a better practicing attentive human being.
