Dang it, I was just about to sign two of my projects up for JotSpot because we were having such an annoying time getting people registered and running with Microsoft Groove. Groove is a wonderful tool, but the install process always seems to have a gotcha - because it's in the limbo between the independent Ray Ozzie company and the tiny appendage of Microsoft.
But JotSpot was bought by Google and now they have closed off new registrations. So I'm back to Groove.
They say
Our first area of focus at Google is the transition to their storied systems and datacenters. In order to ensure that the transition goes smoothly and without inconvenience, we’ve closed off new customer registrations so we can take care of you. Our support team also continues to be available if you have problems or questions.
I say, "Dang it" because these projects are starting right now and changing tools mid-project is usually more work than it is worth.
For what it is worth, though, I think that Jotspot is a much better purchase than YouTube. So, good on ya, Google for picking up a gem!
